Some points to ponder
- In a recent survey, most parents agreed to the fact that parenting is considered as a more challenging task today compared to the past.
- Whether someone is a single parent or a parent raising a normal child or a special child, the scenario and the path they got to travel seem to be the same.
- Raising children is definitely not a walk in the park and there are a lot of different routes one can choose when deciding on the kind of home and environment the child will actually grow up in.
- Raising a child is more challenging for working parents who do not have sufficient time to spend for their child and a patient mind to understand their needs.
- Raising a special child can be challenging, particularly for parents who do not have easy access to special education, occupational therapy or psychological therapies.
- Parents should put some thought into how they feed, educate, and raise their kids even if today’s multiplicity of choices means those decisions are harder to make than they were for previous generations.
- Our courses present parent training as a unique approach that is accessible and one of the most promising methods for promoting long-term behavioural improvements in children with disabilities.
- Backed by decades of research, parent training is a mixture of special education, behavioural & disorder assessments, occupational therapy, art therapy, play therapy, and psychotherapies in which trainers teach parents effective parenting skills and behaviours so that parents are the main drivers of change for their children.
- These courses teach parents how to apply this approach with children with disabilities. They will learn strategies for implementing various interventions and will be trained for maintaining parental child engagement.
- Individual modules focus on the most common issues confronting parents of children with disorders/ disabilities including social and communication deficits; disruptive behaviours; sleep disturbances; wandering tendencies; academic skills and key life skills like feeding and toileting.
- Parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, if you live with, love, or support a child with a disability of any kind like autism, ADHD, ADD, cerebral palsy, Down’s Syndrome, dyslexia, dyscalculia, etc., then this training is for you.
- We cater parents with normal children as well as the parents with children having ADHD – AUTISM – ADD – Down’s Syndrome – Mental Retardation – Cerebral Palsy – Learning Disability – Hyperactivity – Slow Learning – Dyslexia – Dyscalculia – Dysgraphia – Behavioural Disorders – Giftedness.
